The Glen Ellyn Lakers Pre-Travel Academy
OVERVIEW
The Lakers Academy is designed for players from ages 5-7. The emphasis of the Academy is to introduce the game of soccer in a fun, developmental environment. Academy members are taught the skills and fundamentals of the game through both practice and game situations. The program will train twice each week with Future Pros trainers, who are the same coaches for the rest of the Lakers travel teams. One practice each week will consist of skills training and the second practice will focus on playing games in a “micro league” format.
The Lakers Academy is a great way for your child to get a taste for travel soccer without the year long commitment. It is also a great way to receive professional training at an affordable price. We encourage concurrent participation in the Glen Ellyn Park District House League as an additional outlet for your child to improve his/her soccer skills.
SCHEDULE
Winter Academy
- 10 week program starting on January 9th 2012
- Training will be scheduled on Monday from 4:00pm-5:30pm at Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center (indoor turf)
- Fee: $160
- Registration deadline for fall academy participants is December 1st. After this date, we will place wait list participants in the program according to number of available spots.
- In order to join the wait list you must stop by Spring Ave offices and compelte the Academy registration form
